My initial idea is to create a 3 track e.p, displaying all of my skills as a producer, sound engineer, and performing artist. The project will most likely be an Indian Project with one bhangra track, a dance song, and maybe a slow song.
The majority of the project will be done using the college resources, such as the studios and the Mac suites. For the collaborations I would like to find a singer to collaborate with me on a song, and also another producer to bring a different style to my music.
The project if completed in time and has a professional sound could make me money.
On the project I think I will develop some organisation skills, this is because I will be responsible for planning aspects of the project, such as bringing artist in for recording and working towards a deadline.
I think the project might be a solo project as people may not have the same agenda as me, when it comes to choice of tracks I would like to create.
I would like all the tracks on the ep to be originals, because I want to use to showcase my creativity and skills as a producer. So I can show to a potential employee or to a university.
My strengths would be that when given an objective, or target to work towards, I strive my hardest to achieve it, my main weakness would be that I have bad timing and tend to leave my work to last minute. To overcome this, I will set my self targets to have parts of the project completed by set dates, so I’m not working on it last minute.
